This 500 m³ Split Hopper Barge is designed and built by Qingzhou Yongli Mining and Dredging Machinery Co., Ltd. When used in inland waterways, ports, and coastal engineering projects, it loads silt, sand, gravel and other materials on site, transports them safely to designated areas, and discharges cargo quickly through its hydraulic split hull. It helps the company and its clients complete dredging and transportation tasks efficiently with high stability and low operation cost.
Our company provides multi‑purpose tug & supply workboats specially designed and exported for port and waterway projects in Kazakhstan. These vessels perform towing operations, supply fresh water and diesel fuel, and offer on-site support for dredger maintenance and repair. They ensure stable, safe, and efficient daily operation of dredging and port construction projects, helping clients improve productivity and reduce downtime in all working conditions.
During daily offshore dredging and reclamation operations, crew members operate a split hopper barge at a designated coastal dumping ground. After loading dredged silt, sand, and aggregates from the dredging site, the barge sails to the approved disposal area under the supervision of captain and engineers. To complete safe and efficient discharge, hydraulic systems open the hull longitudinally along the deck hinges, splitting the barge into two symmetrical halves. Gravity quickly releases all cargo onto the seabed for land reclamation or channel deepening. Once empty, the hull closes tightly, and the barge returns to the dredging zone to repeat the cycle. This design ensures fast unloading, high stability, and wide use in marine construction, port development, and waterway maintenance projects worldwide.
The work boats are finished packing now in our workshop. There are 5 work boats and they are ready for shipment to Africa customer.
Our company exported a 1000m³ split hopper barge to the South American market. The factory assigned specialized engineers to handle installation and training, and the barge has been operating in excellent condition.
