EXPOMIN 2025, the International Mining Exhibition in Santiago, Chile

EXPOMIN 2025, the largest professional mining exhibition in Latin America and the second largest globally, was successfully held from April 22nd to 25th, 2025, at the Espacio Riesco Exhibition Center in Santiago, Chile. This 18th edition of the exhibition, organized by Fisa, attracted over 1,200 exhibitors from more than 35 countries worldwide, with over 60,000 professional visitors and an exhibition area of 90,000 to 120,000 square meters. It has become a core platform for technical exchange and trade cooperation in the global mining industry. 

Exhibition Highlights and Influence: Industry Authority: The exhibition received strong support from numerous government and industry organizations, including the Chilean Ministry of Mining, the Chilean Mining Commission (Cochilco), and Codelco, making it a trendsetter in the South American and global mining industry. 

Full Industry Chain Coverage: Exhibits cover the entire mining industry chain, including mining machinery, mineral processing equipment (such as crushing and screening machines, flotation machines), industrial safety technology, environmental protection equipment (tailings treatment, wastewater recycling), geological exploration, automated control systems, and mineral rights trading services. 

Focus on Technological Innovation: The exhibition highlights cutting-edge technologies such as intelligent mining, green mining, and efficient mineral processing. Chinese companies such as XCMG, Zoomlion, and LiuGong showcased customized mining machinery, optimizing cooling systems and cab comfort for Chile's high-temperature, dry, and dusty conditions, winning high praise from local customers. 

Concurrent High-Level Events: 10 to 17 professional seminars will be held during the exhibition, covering topics such as mining policy interpretation, intelligent mining case studies, sustainable development paths, and the role of women in the mining industry (women's participation reached 49% this year), promoting in-depth industry exchange. 

Chinese Enterprises' Participation: The scale of the Chinese delegation continued to expand. In 2025, XCMG participated with the theme "The Power of Experience and the Energy of the Future," while Zoomlion showcased several customized excavators, including the ZE500G, securing on-site purchase orders thanks to its stable performance and low fuel consumption. Beijing Shenghua International Exhibition Co., Ltd. was responsible for organizing the exhibition in China, helping companies expand into the South American market. 

Market Background and Future Outlook: According to a report by the Chilean Copper Commission (Cochilco), total mining investment in Chile is projected to reach US$104.549 billion from 2025 to 2034, a new high in nearly 11 years, with 89.8% going to copper mining projects. Lithium mining investment also saw significant growth. This provides vast opportunities for global mining equipment and technical service companies.
