Qingzhou Yongli Mining and Dredging Machinery Co.,ltd produce a Jack-up Barge for South America customer. The barge features a 11m×6.9m pontoon, four 12m spuds, 50KW Cummins generator, 5T hydraulic crane, hydraulic jacking system, and marine anti‑corrosion painting. We checked parameters, verified equipment configuration, and support their offshore construction and dredging project. It can also be used for dredging jack-up barge.
This jack-up barge, also professionally known as a jack-up platform, self-elevating barge and self-lifting barge, is a multi-purpose offshore engineering vessel independently developed and produced by Qingzhou Yongli Mining And Dredging Machinery Co., Ltd. With a sturdy structure, stable positioning and flexible operation, it is widely used in offshore construction, dredging, piling, port maintenance and coastal engineering, providing a safe and reliable working platform for various water operations.
This jack-up barge adopts a three-floating-body assembled pontoon design, with an overall size of 11m in length, 6.9m in width and 2.0m in height. The deck, bottom, side, front and rear plates are all made of 8mm CCSB marine steel, and the compartment plates use 6mm CCSB steel, featuring high strength, good rigidity and strong impact resistance. The transverse frames are built with 100636mm unequal angle steel at 50–60cm intervals, effectively enhancing structural stability and adapting to complex marine wind and wave conditions.
As a professional jack-up platform, it is equipped with four 12m-long, 377mm-diameter high-strength spuds, driven by 8 lifting cylinders and 4 tilting cylinders. The hydraulic jacking system enables stable elevation, precise water positioning and reliable support, which is the core advantage of this self-elevating barge. It can maintain a stable working plane even in flowing water and strong wind, greatly improving operational safety and efficiency.
The self-lifting barge is powered by a 50KW Cummins 4BT3.9–G2 diesel generator (380/220V, 50Hz), providing continuous and stable power for the whole vessel. Its hydraulic system includes an A2F28 double plunger pump, DN16 solenoid and proportional directional valves, 500L oil tank and 22KW variable-frequency motor, featuring high efficiency, smooth action and low failure rate. The vessel is also equipped with a 5T hydraulic knuckle-boom crane (8m slewing radius), two 600mm rotary thrusters, one set of windlass with 18# 75m anchor chain and a 200kg anchor, which significantly improves mobility, lifting capacity and construction flexibility.
This jack-up barge is designed with complete operating facilities: a 1.5×1.6×2.2m operation room, six pairs of 159mm bollards, 1m-high railings on both sides, nine 400×600mm manholes, one 500×500mm moonpool and a 4060mm×3850mm access ramp with 2T winches. The user-friendly layout ensures convenient operation, safe access and comfortable working conditions.
For long-term marine use, this jack-up platform uses four layers of marine-grade coating: primer, intermediate coat, topcoat and cuprous oxide antifouling paint, plus zinc anode anti-corrosion protection. It delivers excellent seawater corrosion resistance and antifouling performance, effectively extending service life.
With excellent stability, easy operation and low maintenance cost, this self-elevating barge is ideal for offshore construction, dredging, piling, inland waterway operations and port projects. As a cost-effective self-lifting barge, it combines reliable performance, compact structure and flexible deployment, making it the preferred choice for global customers engaged in marine and water construction.
