Choosing a marine diesel generator set is crucial; it must match your actual needs, taking into account power, environmental adaptability, certifications, and after-sales service.

1. Define Power Requirements: First, calculate the total power of all equipment on board, leaving a 10%-20% margin for startup impact and future expansion. Continuous power is generally 90% of rated power, and maximum power is 1.1 times. For example, if your total load is 200kW, you should choose a generator set of at least 220kW.

2. Consider Vessel Type and Environment: For ocean-going vessels and fishing boats with annual operating hours exceeding 3000 hours, select generator sets based on continuous power.
