3.Working Principle

1. Separation Forces

Mineral particles are subjected to three mutually perpendicular forces on the shaking table surface:

Medium Dynamics: The difference in settling velocity of mineral particles in the medium (water);

Fluid Dynamics: The washing effect of lateral water flow and slurry flow;

Mechanical Dynamics: The segregation and stratification effect generated by the differential reciprocating motion of the table surface.

These forces together cause the mineral particle group to loosen and stratify on the table surface, ultimately separating according to density to form concentrate, middlings, and tailings.

2. Separation Process

Loosening and Stratification: The shaking of the table surface creates a velocity difference in the mineral particle group, causing heavy minerals to sink to the bottom layer and light minerals to float to the top layer;

Transportation and Separation: The lateral water flow pushes light minerals towards the tailings end, while heavy minerals move towards the concentrate end due to inertia, thus achieving separation. 

4.Main Components

A shaking table mainly consists of the following components: Headstock (transmission box): Includes a motor, reducer, eccentric shaft, rocker arm, etc., driving the table surface to perform longitudinal reciprocating motion; Table surface: An inclined panel with grooves, mostly made of fiberglass, with ribbed strips on the surface to enhance the sorting effect; Inclination adjuster: Adjusts the longitudinal slope of the table surface to control the speed of mineral particle transport; Water trough and ore trough: Used for water supply and ore feeding respectively, forming a thin layer of water flow.
